Expanding recreation space for South Australians by opening reservoir reserves across the state for complementary, site-suitable recreational use and enjoyment is a state government priority.
A multi-agency taskforce, appointed by the Minister for Environment and Water, is overseeing the opening of reservoir reserves with visitors enjoying Myponga since April 2019, expanded access at Warren and Bundaleer in October 2019, and South Para opening in December 2019. Hope Valley and Little Para reservoir reserves will be opening by the end of 2020.
