The Beetaloo Reservoir Reserve will be temporarily closed to visitors on Thursday 22 October, while the Department for Environment and Water conduct a prescribed burn within the site.

The objective of prescribed burning is to reduce fuel loads to mitigate the risk of bushfire.

The reserve will reopen at the usual opening time of 9am on Friday 23 October.

In the meantime, you can still go to other reservoir reserves open around the state to enjoy, explore and preserve – details can be found on this site.
